BISHOP PHILIP AND DINAH KITOTO

Several years ago, God revealed to us that, if we were obedient to establish a center where children’s character, values and talents were identified, nurtured and released for his glory, the he will bless ICC with growth immeasurable.
We started on a journey of investing and establishing a space that would integrate at all levels of education right from Sunday School, Kindergarten to the tertiary level with a view of transforming families, children, and other urban populace for the glory of God. God had planted the idea in Dinah and I to get resources and start the work. By the grace of God, Jabali Christian Schools is now a dream realized and whose fruits many are already enjoying.
The school opened its doors on 11th January 2011 with the kindergarten section now fully operational (pre-school, pre-primary 1 and pre-primary 2) and in 2012 the school began admitting children in primary. In line with the Church’s mission, the schools are meant to impact the people in urban settings with the family unit as the focal point.
Our idea is for the Jabali which mean rock to be:

The foundation of every family through skill transfer during parenting classes
Missional in orientation by touching the less vulnerable in society
A center of excellence in education and capacity transfer

The connection between church and school enables the values imparted to children at the early stages at home are further developed through primary school right to the tertiary level. The school embraces a holistic approach developing not only the intellect but the spiritual, emotional and social aspects of the pupil/student.
We believe in the Head, Heart, and Hand approach. Education will not be about competition to see who is best but an opportunity to impart strong Godly character, knowledge and skills for living a productive Godly life.
